Rimasauskas’s grift was pretty bold. He merely sent Google and Facebook invoices for items they hadn’t purchased and that he hadn’t provided, which the companies paid anyway.

I mean…brilliant? Can’t be the first fraud of this kind, but it’s interesting to note it worked against companies such as Google and Facebook. Isn’t machine learning and automating this sort of thing supposed to be their forté?
